What sets us apart?

We focus less on the packaging and more on the quality of the product. All that posh logo, fancy packaging, cool dudes in bespoke aprons, beards and tattoos, just isn’t us. We do have a few beards and tattoos around the place, but to be honest they’re a bit of a poor show, and Debbie’s a bit shy.

What grind do I choose?

Depending on how you like to enjoy your coffee changes the grind that fits best. We offer different grinds so that the coffee is just right for your cafetiere, Aeropress or whatever innovative gadget is invented next. Click ‘Grind Guide’ to find what grind your beans should be. P.s If you're reading this on the ‘teas’ page then this will be no use but hopefully it'll get you a point on a pub quiz somewhere!

Who are we?

Well we're definitely not those posh blokes in fancy aprons, lifting their pinkies and drinking coffee, that's for sure. What is us though, is producing great coffee in a Black Bag. That’s what we do really well, and have done for a long time. And we say good because we had a look around and apparently everyone seems to say our coffee is great, or fantastic, or exceptional, or extraordinary. Well, obviously that’s for you to decide. So why not try something without all the fuss and experience no-nonsense good coffee?

The best Blue Mountain i've ever tasted

This is amazing quality. I have been looking for St Andrew Blue Mountain for while. It's hard to describe the taste, but it just doesn't get any better. I bought 200g first and then came back for 1KG. I rarely write reviews but this was worth it.

The best coffee I have ever tasted

During my recent visit to the Blue Mountains in Jamaica I had the opportunity to visit a number of coffee farms and St. Andrew Parish was my favourite by far. Finally I have found a UK Master Roaster with the St. Andrew roast. Quite simply astounding. I bought 1KG from Black Bag Coffee and the roast date was the date I ordered the coffee. As its so expensive I subscribed make a saving then asked the helpful blackbag staff to change to every other month. I dont drink alcohol, so this is my treat. I highly recommend Blackbag and also recommend the Double A blend also (at a fraction of the price). But there is no getting away from it, Blue Mountain St. Andrew roast is a cut above the rest.

Phillipe it took us over 18 months to get St. Andrew Parish and now we sell out on a regular basis due to its scarcity. Every day we roast Blue Mountain to order at 6AM for a 12.30 PM shipping. The freshness is critical and we ensure that all of our knowledge is applied to ensure quality every-time. Subscription customers are really appreciated as we can plan which can be challenging in coffee. Thank you from James

WOW! best coffee I have ever tasted, seriously!

I have heard a lot about Blue Mountain, but thought it was mostly hype. I bought a 200g (beans) for my sage machine and wow! I would definitely recommend as a gift or as a treat if you can afford it :-) It's so exquisite that I am ordering another bag just in time for Christmas celebrations x

Esther thank you for your feedback. Our St Andrew Parish Roast is the very best we can do and I am so glad that you enjoy it. It's certainly not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Interestingly our busiest month for this coffee is Dry January!!!
