What sets us apart?

We focus less on the packaging and more on the quality of the product. All that posh logo, fancy packaging, cool dudes in bespoke aprons, beards and tattoos, just isn’t us. We do have a few beards and tattoos around the place, but to be honest they’re a bit of a poor show, and Debbie’s a bit shy.

What grind do I choose?

Depending on how you like to enjoy your coffee changes the grind that fits best. We offer different grinds so that the coffee is just right for your cafetiere, Aeropress or whatever innovative gadget is invented next. Click ‘Grind Guide’ to find what grind your beans should be. P.s If you're reading this on the ‘teas’ page then this will be no use but hopefully it'll get you a point on a pub quiz somewhere!

Who are we?

Well we're definitely not those posh blokes in fancy aprons, lifting their pinkies and drinking coffee, that's for sure. What is us though, is producing great coffee in a Black Bag. That’s what we do really well, and have done for a long time. And we say good because we had a look around and apparently everyone seems to say our coffee is great, or fantastic, or exceptional, or extraordinary. Well, obviously that’s for you to decide. So why not try something without all the fuss and experience no-nonsense good coffee?

About the leaves:

Our Gunpowder loose leaf Green Tea is steamed, pan fried, and dried. Green tea is a type of tea made from Camellia Sinensis leaves and buds that have not undergone the same withering and oxidation process used to make black teas.

DO NOT USE BOILING WATER on any GREEN tea as it will make it taste bitter.

Bag of coffee

You’ve heard us banging on about our great coffee but have you heard about our GREAT tea?

As you probably seen around the site we’re not all that bothered about coffee snobbery and the same goes for tea as well

Product Details

Whilst we’re not trying to think of catchy puns (though you might see a couple Phil has snook in) or subliminal messaging, we are focused on finding some of the best tea you’ve ever tasted. Again, we've been at this for quite a while now and we believe we've got it down to a T. (and over 6,000 of you seem to think so too). From the same guys that brought you GREAT coffee in a Black Bag, try out our equally GREAT tea in a … yes you guessed it BLACK BAG!
